Dr. Dinesh Sharma is an acclaimed author, consultant, and social scientist with a doctorate in psychology and human development from Harvard University. He is an Associate Research Professor at the Institute of Global Cultural Studies, SUNY Binghamton, where he teaches in Harpur College and the Department of Human Development. His current teaching work is focused on Human Rights, Globalization, Leadership and the UN.

In addition, Sharma teaches about global leadership and the UN at Fordham University at Lincoln Center, NYC, and is a columnist for Asia Times Online, The Global Intelligence among other publications.

His biography of the 44th President of the US, "Barack Obama in Hawaii and Indonesia: The Making of a Global President", was rated as the Top 10 Books of Black History for 2012 by Book List Online, American Library Association. His next book, “The Global Obama: Crossroads of Leadership in the 21st Century”, has been reviewed with “Honorable Mention” as one of the top black books for 2014. He is currently editing a book on Hillary Clinton’s global image.

His articles and opinions have appeared in Wall Street Journal Online, Al Jazeera English,, Free Lance-Star, Far Eastern Economic Review, Middle East Times, Middle East Online, Epoch Times, Biotech Law Review, Health Affairs, Media Monitors, DC Chronicles,,, International Psychology Bulletin, and other scientific journals.
